Maanrock is a Belgian open air festival in the center of Mechelen.

It takes place annually at the end of August. The main stage is on the Grote Markt and the side stages on the Botermarkt and the IJzerenleen. A youth day (Saturday) and a family day (Sunday) have been chosen.

Maanrock had its first edition in 1996 and grew to be the largest and most visited free rock and pop festival in Flanders. In 2005, more than 120,000 people came to Mechelen, a record.

Garorock is one of France's biggest and best music festivals, held annually in Marmande. Started two decades ago as a rock, indie and alternative music celebration, the festival has since expanded its lineup and musical scope to welcome internationally renowned artists from the worlds of pop, rap, electronic music and more.

Taking place on the banks of the Garonne river, the beautiful and picturesque natural setting offers a real sense of escapism to music fans, across three days of fantastic performances from their favorite bands and artists.

The OpenAir St.Gallen is one of the oldest outdoor festivals in Switzerland. It’s close to the city and it’s the second biggest festival in the German part of the country (30’000 capacity per day). The camping site is included in the festival area – no boundaries between sleeping and going to the shows. If you’re lucky you’ll be able to see your favorite band perform on stage while you’re relaxing in front of your tent. This is something that makes the OpenAir St.Gallen very special, besides the unique setting in the valley of the river Sitter surrounded by trees.

The Balelec Festival is a large musical event organized by students in Europe. It is usually the first open-air music festival happening in Switzerland each year during Spring. It is organized by volunteers on the campus of École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne near the lake Geneva in Lausanne, Switzerland around the beginning of May.
